Okay, bear with me here because this is gonna be a doozy to explain. Munchies is a campy 80s horror comedy ripoff of Gremlins. Not to be confused with Ghoulies, Spookies, Hobgoblins or any of the other campy 80s horror comedy ripoffs of Gremlins (including Gremlins II). You know- its the one about the “space archaeologist” (hahhaha) that finds a bunch of gremlins “munchies” in the mountains of Peru. They are sex-perverts and have punk hair and if you were to, say, chop one of the “munchies” up because they are annoying and rude (we fear things that are different than us) this results in each piece of that munchie becoming a new shittier munchie. Actually go ahead and confuse them if you want because I don’t even want to talk about Munchies, I want to talk about the two “sequels” to Munchies— Munchie and Munchie Strikes Back.
